The New American Festival fills a cultural need for refugee, immigrant, and asylee communities. In learning a new language, culture, and establishing a new life in America, there is pressure to assimilate, losing the valuable traditions, arts, and strengths of the cultures New Americans come from. This festival presents an opportunity to share these rich cultures with family, friends, and the larger community. All are welcome to enjoy in the food, fun, and festivities.

Because we believe community is most effective when we can all work together, the YMCA of Central Ohio and Ethiopian Tawahedo Social Services (ETSS) have come together to create a FREE and fun event for the whole community. Enjoy foods from around the world, games, dances and cultural presentations from 12-5pm on September 10th.

Fee: Entrance to the New American Festival 2016 is completely FREE, thanks to generous donations and sponsors. To make sure this festival is available to all New American communities, please consider making a donation at the ETSS website with the keywords “New American Festival”
